Nervous but READY!!!

We are so ready for this competition. Although we are ready, we are still nervous. It is our first time at a competition like this, so we are nervous. We may not be as experienced as our competition but we are confident. At the end of the day, all we need to know is that we tried our best and we didn't go down without a fight. On Friday, we will be presenting and Saturday is the big competition. Even though we are nervous, we are nervous but confident.

yayy!!!!!!

We are so excited!!! We found our solution!!! We came up with a idea!!! Our idea is that right before they package and ship the meat, that they put a protective seal on each pieces of meat before it is actually put in the package with the other pieces of meat . What do y'all think?? COMMENT!!!!!

Help

Trying to find information on how to keep deterioration from happening but can't. This says that most people don't care about what they eat and are going to die of very dangerous microorganisms found in meat deterioration. Right now I am very frustrated because i don't have any solutions about this problem and it feels as if my head is about to explode. All i need is one example from someone else that's all I need and that will make my day. I'm trying not to give up but there is just to much pressure on us about this presentation. But we won't give up hopefully. Maybe just maybe there will be a miracle for us. We need a miracle. i never thought that it would be that hard to find just one simple solution on stopping deterioration. So if anyone has a heart this blog may be boring but we have to this so if anyone has just one small solutions please write.

Get Down To The Nitty Gritty

It's time for us to really get to work. All we have are some notes, our blog, and a website. That's not helping us at all with this presentation. We really need to go deeper into our researching and pull the real facts. Honestly this project is harder than i thought it would be. Although this project is making us do lots of research, we are learning alot about our subject, that's always helpful. So what we need to do to really get back on track is find a way to make our project make sense. So lets get to work!!!

Still Working!!

Today, we will be working on our actual project. We will be researching more on pork chops and pigs so we can get ready to present at the competition. Today, and probably for a week or so it's gonna be a little harder to work because one of our team members, Victoria, is getting sick. We are going to try our hardest and work on the project.

Help our poor little pigs!!!

Do you have any idea what those poor pigs go through so you can have your pork? I am truly sadden by the outcome. The slaughter house is the end of the line for the little piggies. Modern pig farms have to be the most horrendous of all the CAFO Hog(pig) factories. The real tragedy goes to the nature of the pig itself. It causes many of those helpless piggies to be driven mad by the ugly ,horrible terrifying treatment they receive. I personally would not want to work at a one of those Hog Factories. I could not bare to hear a pig squill at the sound of being beaten into a coma with a hammer. Other farms beat them with a stick or something hard until they have a concussion. Unlike farms, factories are vertically integrated into farrowing operations where sows are impregnated and continually give birth all their lives. Its sad enough that they have to die, but a true CAFO is where the piglets are fed until they reach market weight. This is such a tragedy for the pigs. They died for our enjoyment. This is one of the most horrible disgusting terrible ways for anything, anyone, any person to die from. It hurts to know that I am eating a pig that went through all this. But, it just taste so good. All i can say is SORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRYYYY!!!!!

You Gotta Have That Meat!!!!!

Pork Chops are meat chops that are cut perpendicular to the spine of a domestic pig.  Even though they are mostly boneless, they might have a rib or part of a vertebra found in them. They are served in individual portions.
Until 1970, pork chops were high in fat, but  it is now low because today's hogs have less fats due to improved genetics.
Pigs CAFO's( concentrated animal feeding operations) are particularly worrisome in terms of enviorment damag4e and degradation of surrounding communities. also very worrisome is how the very nature of pigs and their stress full factory- farm living conditions, team-up to produce less-than-ideal pork products.

Help Save Yourself From Contamination

Did you know that you could get poisoned if your meats aren't safely stored? It can happen. If your meats are in the freezer for a long time they could be susceptible to freezer burn, which means if your meat is covered in white ice that looks like snow it could be contaminated. It can also be susceptible to deterioration which is decaying of the meat. Meats can also be contaminated with rancidity which is the rotting of the meat.
